In 2011, the Crawford County Pheasants Forever saw the need for a facility where our youth could shoot competitively and the citizens of the county could
practice their marksmanship skills on a regular basis. At the same time two extraordinary individuals, Richard Meyer and Marcia Bachman, saw the vision of the
organization and understood the importance of the project. Through their generosity and the hard work of the Crawford County Pheasants Forever, the Crawford
County Shooting Sports Complex transformed from a vision to a reality.

The Crawford County Shooting Sports Association’s mission is to provide and promote opportunities to introduce and develop youth interest in the safety,
discipline, skills, and fellowship of the shooting sports and to promote and protect the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution. It is our goal to
promote safe handling and proper care of firearms and to create a public sentiment for the encouragement of organized rifle, pistol and shotgun practice both as a
sport and as a necessary means of defense. It shall be our further objective and purpose to forward the development of those characteristics of honesty, good
fellowship, self-discipline, team-play and self-reliance, which are the essentials of good sportsmanship and the foundation of true patriotism.
Through dedicated volunteers, our association strives to provide: A communications network, education and training, support for affiliated clubs and an active
competitive shooting program. The association serves all persons without regard to sex, race, color, religion, national origin or physical impairment.
